Cake

Chocolate Cake...

2/3 cup shortening                                2/3 cup cocoa

1 1/3 cups sugar                                   3/4 tsp baking powder

3 eggs                                                  1 tsp baking soda

2 tsp vanilla                                          1 tsp salt

2 cups flour                                          1 1/4 cups water

Preheat oven to 350º. Beat shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla in large bowl until fluffy. Add the dry ingredients all at once. Slowly mix in the water just until the batter is smooth. Pour into 2 greased 9" layer cake pans. Bake for 40 minutes. Cool cake pans for 10-15 minutes. Remove from pans and cool completely.
